The independent hardware retailer remains a viable and valuable locally leveraged format for consumers and contractors.  In particular, it is highly valued by those consumer segments who have experienced the benefit that higher levels of service and product knowledge can have on the speed and accuracy with which they complete their project. It is Century’s commitment to remain a strong partner in that unique manufacturer-retailer-consumer relationship. 

Century Drill & Tool has worked through the 2-step distribution and regional chain channels of the hardware market since 1940.  Century’s customers, who are decidedly not Big Box loyalists, understand and appreciate some of the key features of Century’s products. These include one of the broadest selections of Power Tool Accessories in the business, contractor quality and the fact that a good percentage of our line is still manufactured in the United States. 

Since Century’s full line of products cannot presently be found in Big Box or Mass Merchandise retail formats, some independent retailers leverage the brand to create differentiation.
