Since 1940, Century Drill & Tool Corporation has offered professional quality power tool accessories for contractors, professional tradesmen, do-it-yourselves and professional automotive shops. From 1940 to 1985 Century Drill & Tool was headquarted in Chicago IL. During that time, Century was known for its innovation. Century was the first company to retail package a drill bit and were one of the first companies to barcode power tool accessories. We offered unique products and merchandising that was considered ahead of its time.

In 1985 Century was moved to Green Bay, WI. With a larger facility and a new management team, Century was positioned for growth and expansion. In 1990 we revitalized our packaging to a more modern, consistent design. A packaging design which lead us to be known as the "blue wall". Also during that time we continued to develop new products and expanded our product line from 2000 skus to the more than 5000 skus we have today. We returned to the Hardware Retail Market in 1992 after adding key product offerings. Prior to that time we strictly focused and became a leader in the automotive aftermarket.

In June 2009, Century entered into a new line of products, hand tools. After years of focusing on power tool accessories, we decided to bring our high level of service and quality to this additional line of products. With over 130 primary hand tool products including hammers, screwdrivers, pliers, wrenches, clamps, files, hacksaws taps and dies, we are positioned today to create an entire product offering that will service our customer's needs.

In May 2009, at the National Hardware Show, we premiered our new branding and packaging designs. Our new branding now demonstrates our heritage and our strong commitment to quality. The redesigned packaging offers visual aspects that help our customers make quick, yet correct buying decisions. A few examples are color coding to differentiate our quality levels, life time ratings, illustrated cutting materials and multi-lingual product descriptions and warnings. One thing that has not changed is our blue packaging. "The Power of the Blue Wall" today has a more powerful statement that reflects our quality image.
